Not every celebration needs full planning. Rentals and self-setup kits offer a practical middle ground for families who can manage the event but want a coordinated visual base or optional professional installation.
Rentals and DIY kits are self-managed options
This service provides selected props, structures or prepared styling items for clients who can manage some or all of the setup. It is different from full planning because timing, assembly and event coordination remain primarily with the client unless added separately.
Confirm the inventory and dimensions
Every item list should include quantities, measurements, condition and packed size. Check that items fit through doors, lifts and vehicles before collection. A backdrop that fits the room may still be difficult to transport.
Collection, delivery and deposits
The agreement should state collection or delivery time, service area, deposit, identification requirements, late return charges and who carries items between the vehicle and venue. Delivery does not automatically mean installation.
Setup skill and realistic time
DIY saves money only when the client has enough time, tools, helpers and confidence. Balloon work, large structures and balanced displays can take longer than expected, especially in an unfamiliar venue.
Damage, weather and safe use
Rental items should be used on stable surfaces and protected from rain, strong wind, heat and unsupervised climbing. The client should understand replacement responsibility and safe placement around children.
What changes rental cost
Item type, quantity, rental duration, delivery zone, installation, collection timing, customization and damage protection affect the quote. Custom printed pieces may be sold rather than rented.
When DIY stops saving money
DIY becomes less economical when transport requires several vehicles, the setup window is short, the display is technically complex or the family must hire extra help. Compare the total time and risk, not only the rental rate.
Return checklist
Photograph the packed items at handover, keep small hardware together, follow cleaning instructions and return everything within the agreed window. Missing pieces should be reported before return rather than hidden.
